ReCertification
Recertification is for existing and returning officials.
The 2026-27 season is a 'new' rulebook year.
The courses for this season HAVE BEEN POSTED !!!
It will be a two part process; Online then In-Person
Step 1: Online Course
- be sure you take the recert course for your level **
- this course will review new content
- this course ends with the online multiple choice exam
** Level 1 officials wanting to upgrade to Level 2 should get Matt's approval first, then register for the Level 2 Recerticiation course, followed by the Level 2 In-Person. You can not upgrade at the in-person course.
Step 2: In-Person Course
- you have to register for this course on HCR after you complete Step 1, do not 'just show up'
- be sure you register for the in-person course for your level (eg. there are three Recerts on Sept 26th at Grant-Harvey, be sure to select the one that is your level).
Step 3: Pay your HNB Officials Fee to Dave (deadline is Nov. 20th)
- you will recieve a form at the in-person course

VSC/CRC Check
All officials should verify that your VSC is still valid and has an end-date beyond March 31st, 2027. If you requiring a VSC, you have one of two options;
Once you have your VSC (paper or electronic) send a digital copy (scan the letter into a PDF and/or forward the electronic PDF) to the Zone 3 RIC, Bob Hathewey (nbzone3refs@gmail.com) who can update your HCR record.

- you can apply for your records check with the City of Fredericton Police department online.
- their online process is convenient, but can take 2-3 weeks to be completed (plan accordingly)
- be sure to request the VSC (Vulnerable Sector Check) option which will include the CRC (Criminal Record Check).

- Residents outside Fredericton (in the Service District)
- you can apply in-person for your records check with the RCMP at the Oromocto Detachment.
